Ok, i just started workign out again and I try to go to the gym everyday or every second day. So i went out today and bought some "MASS 2000 by Perfect" Weight Gain Formula powder. ANyways, its too bulk up quicker and shit. I was just curious if anyone has used this stuff or anything like it? This is my frist time using this enhancement stuff.

i dont bother with enhancement stuff.....ive been working out on a regular basis since early april.....went from 150lbs to 200lbs now - no supplements.

What some people dont realize is....if you gain weight too fast, you are going to get stretch marks - badly....i noticed a couple on my hips and on the tri's of my arms and I immediately started in with messaging the areas and putting lotion on and stretching more.....they arent even really visible now unless you stick your eye on my hip or tri's....
but some people get them BAD, especially if they dont attempt to fix them right away.

simple...dont use the enhancers. Or if you do be sure that you use some lotions or similar.

I work out on a regular basis as well, been doing so for the past few yrs. I dont do anything major, Im not in it for weight gain or muscle mass, just to stay healthy. I like working out at home more than going to a gym because its free and I can do whatever I want whenever I want. Im into using my own body weight as the resistance (chin ups etc). Did you know that doing vertical situps makes 1 = 8-10?

be sure to use firming lotion....can probably get some at wal-mart or bath and body works....dont have to use it everyday, maybe every other day.
when you work out, start with less weight and get your body into the swing of things.....i started working with heavier weights and started building muscle mass way too quickly, stretched my skin hence why I got mine - but i fixed the problem quickly...

be sure to stretch before doing your workout...do cardio excersize to get warmed up...then begin your workout.

i started stretching and doing more cardio beforehand and ive noticed quite a difference in the fact that my muscles dont become tense anymore after a hard workout.....its a nice change, and no more stretch marks forming either...woo woooo

A lot of people though will just NOT do it if they are at home....im like that....i pay for ballys, so I go cuz I dont want to waste my money.....must be nice to be able to actually do it at home though :p
besides though, i like having a ton of machines or weights at my disposal - its nice....

Accord - what gym do you go to? If its ballys, you can always setup an appointment with a personal trainer - well depending on your plan....With mine I have 2 free consultations with a PT...they help a lot.

i do, and i dont use enhancement stuff.. muscle needs protine* to rebuild. when you work out you tear muscle, and it repars and, you get a little more each time.. so what i do is after i work out is, go and cook about 3-4 eggs, coverd with cheese and hot sauce.. thats like pure protine... so far it has worked for me..

you wont get stretch marks if your stretch before you work out... proven fact. If you do get them you are to massage them so good work on the ej6. But dude, i wouldn't bother with that supplement stuff. It is all about naturals....meaning the best thing you can get is creatin. I just started using it, and i am gaining a lot of weight, but it must be with consistency of working out, and you must drink A LOT of water.

hmm...well i bought the stuff. I think what i'm gonna do is take about half of the doses it says to take. That way it will do a bit but not crazy.

Slowej6....i just go to the gym center here at my school

and what exactly is firming lotion? Does it say it on the bottle? AND, where would i put it so i don't get stretch marks? All over my body?......and when?

Also, my friend, who likes to work out too, said that he was researchign working out on the interent and it says that "to build muscles, lift weights that you can lift for 4-8reps".....I always thought that you were supposed to lift weights that you can do for 10-15reps???

can anyone answer the repition question???

I have a Bowflex at home that I use 3 times a week, about an hour each session. I only use 30 lbs because after lifting that much after 3, 10 rep sessions. It hurts but in a good way. Resistance training is better for me as I only want to build toned muscle and get cut, not to bulk up and get ripped. I haven't done any GNC type enhancers, only just a lot more water and sometimes Gatorade too.

I work out a lot...like 4-6 times a week. I don't use any enhancers, and I'm just naturally getting bigger (I'm not huge yet). I know lots of guys that work out with shakes and creatine, and they are pretty strong and big. I have a protien shake once and a while. And I'm thinking of buying protien powder today. But I don't want anything that will bulk me up to big, or make me gain a ton of weight, just something that will cut me a little more and help me build a little more muscle. I am also into cardio. I love being in shape.

oh yeah, if you do lighter weight with more reps, it will cut you a little more, and if you do super heavier weight with less reps, you should notice a little more muscle gain. From what I have been told anyway.

what i try to do is do like 3sets of 10+ reps of a good amount of weight and then push myself and do like 5 or so with an extra amount of weight..

Oooh, don't push yourself like that too soon. You might get hurt. Are you working out every other day? To let your new muscles rest and heal on the off day? The program with the Bowflex has you do this and it really helps, so you won't be too sore the next day.

I don't mind being sore...it's a good sore at least!
I just got back from the gym
and I feel great.

i don't know if you guys get this, but after my workout (an hour) when i shower and go to put shampoo in my hair, my arms feel SOOO WEIRD, its like they are reallly really tight but really awkward to move. it's weird and makes me giggle like a school girl.

I am really pissed off right now. At the start of school, there was NOBODY in the gym, but NOW its freakin packed. On Mondays and Wednesday's i have a 4hour break between classes so that is when iw as going to work (atl ike 11am) and it wouldn't be packed. But i went to go at like 11am this morning and i left. There was NO ROOM. Every station had 1 or 2 ppeople there with another in line. And all the benches (for free weights) were taken up and it was just over crowded. I don't like working out like that. I prefer to be able to move, haha. AND, its not a very good workout when u do weights, wait 10minutes, do more weights, wait in line agian. GRR. I'm gonna go at like 8pm i guess. If its still busy, too bad, i gotta deal with it. I was considering going BEFORE classes, but that means getting up at like 700 and i don't think that's gonna happen!

as far as the reps are concerned...

6-10 of heavier weight is good for building.
12-20 of a lighter weight is good for toning.

as for firming lotion, it should say on the bottle but as was said....if you DO do stretching excersizes, you wont get stretch marks....

That's why I go to a gym that has a limited number of members to it. At a certian amount of people, they won't let anybody else join....good thing I got their early.

Free is the main thing
that's why i pay for my membership fee up front
so that it seems like the rest of my year is "free:"
