Just got my Brembo Max

I got my brembos today @ a local parts store, they gave me a good deal i could not refuse, by the end of the week il have the Ferodo pads & Dot 4 fluids.

After that i may need some help on the instalation part of it.

Has any one have these brake rotors or have heard about them, the guy @ the parts store highly recomended them, i have heard alot about Brembo brakes has being 1 of the best, i didont think 2ice about geting Brembo Max new technology.

Will this particular instalation throw off the brake balance of the car or will it be ok

Im also planing on a ssbrakes rear disc conversion but i havont heard any one testing these brakes, could any one give me some advise on this

i looked into the ssbc brakes and i like the way they sound. kinda pricey tho.

look pretty decent to me...yeah brembo's are good brakes

I run powerslots on mine and I have no probs...

Installing is really easy...you might want to get a haynes/chiltons manual at the very least, though...see if you can borrow it or get it from the library. Get a Helms manual as soon as you can for future stuff.

I found a good site were it explains very well the How To DIY of changing brakes, i might get a Helms manual but with the info i get on the Net i can almost work around it .

im using aem/nissin pads right now...might go something else next...just so i know what else is out there. nope, didnt switch to stainless lines...gotta watch out for that I hear, many are just rubber lines that have stainless mesh around it to resist corrosion only, and not stiffness (you can ghetto rig the lines by putting zip ties on your lines every 3/4-1")

im probably geting brembos brake stainless lines cant go wrong depending on price, how much is a good set of stainless brake lines

the guys @ the parts store sold me the Brembo Max for 92.95euros they alsso gave me the price of the Ferodo pads that are 37.64euros & Ferodo dot 4 fluid for 5.34euros total is 135.93euros wich is 136$usd

no ive never done it but my uncle that lives in the south (alabama...which is why it makes sense to us US people) swears it works. Basically it does make sense...its just preventing the lines from expanding, while being far enough apart to still be flexable. I dont think Id ever do it though...

I cant really say a good price for lines...someone else will come along that knows, soon though

Is the shop totally flushing your brake system and then changing to dot4? Are the pads metallic or carbon/kevlar? If both of those are yes, then it sounds like a decent price to me...flushing an entire brake system is a pain in the ass

The ferodo pads are 50+ material formulations

The flushing im geting my local mecanic to do that for me, dont know how much he will charge

you need something that will stand up to the slots on the rotors...regular pads get literally eaten/chewed up instantly.

so basically...the only thing the slots and such are for REALLY is bragging rights and looks. :rolleyes:

no they cool faster than blanks and are less likely to warp if youre using them a lot like in autocross...or if you drive through a big ass puddle after stop and go...

When I was in the need for new rotors, I got my slots not only because of the deal that I got at the time but because of how i warped the blanks (see my 2nd example ^)

The Ferodo pads that im talking about they dont need heating up

Slotted Rotors are suggested for Street Cars and race pads will do just make sure their not some crazy kind that need to be real hot.

Also good to add race brake fluid.
