my car is nice and fuel efficent but it lacks speed
would it be worth the cash to add intake and exhaust to it and maybe a chip?

it depends on wether or not YOU think it's worth upgrading. any car has the potential for speed. it's just a matter of how much money you want to dump into it. with civics unfonrtunately it takes a bit more money to make them faster due to the fact that they come slow

I have a LX and it runs 13s. :)
The first thing that I did to my car was intake, header, and exhaust and I was very happy with the way is sounded and the added power. You have to start somewhere and those are the first 3 things I'd do as far as performance wise.

these arent BMW's......a chip will do nothing.
if you want some speed, go B18B turbo, blockguard, hondata, TUNING.........you will decimate all.

And to make my car run 13s I had to do a motor swap, lots of internal work, turbo, and nitrous.
