...you've read the subject....now answer the question and include why you would buy that car...and we are not in the market for a domestic vehicle, not even those damn SRT-4 (no offense or anything...)

I don't see what's wrong with the SRT-4's, especially since they have LSD's on the '04s.
But, for $25k, I would probably have to go with a used BMW M3 Sedan and go on a shopping spree at Active Autowerkes. Unfortuently, parts for BMW's are like twice that of Honda's, so the extra money wouldn't go as far.
Either that, or pick up a - used NSX (http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/vdetail.jtmpl?car_id=138025935&dealer_id=&car_year=1993&make=ACURA&distance=75&max_price=&model=NSX&end_year=2004&advcd_on=n&min_price=&address=32765&search_type=used&advanced=n&start_year=1983&color=&cardist=69).

I would put that down on a new RSX Type S then pay the little remaning monthly.

A new RSX-S should be less than $25k...look elsewhere if they want that much.
Personally, I'd buy another theft recovered GSR or maybe RSX-S and really hook it up. B&G S3 coilovers, full rebuild for FI, Procharger custom setup w/ intercooler running @ 16PSI, hondata, etc.

I would probably get my Honda S2000 that I was planning on getting, but then decided to move out and get an apartment instead. I'd then just pay the remaining difference in monthly payments. I wanted that hot little 2 seater so much, but it was more logical for me to move out because I really don't need a new car, just wanted one really bad. ;(

as always, it depends on what you want out of the car. if you want a beast, find a decent lexus sc300 5spd, rebuild engine to handle more boost, big turbo, then getrag 6spd swap... heres the prices for that:
sc300- 8k
rebuild w/ parts- 4k or less
turbo+fuel- 6k
6spd swap- 4k
rims/tires- 3k
enjoy your luxury cruiser beast:yes:

I'd get a Miata MX-5 LS. Then I'd save up for a nice blower, slap a removable hard top on it, and do some suspension/wheel/tire upgrades to it and start autox'ing.
FWD pisses me off.

the sc3 would be a nice project car with a million potential (can't u swap in a 2jz-gte engine in them?)
if it was up to me then i'd consider that but it is up to my older brother to decide....

the sc300 comes with the 2jz-ge, the non-turbo version of the 2jz-gte. All that is different between the engines is the internals, and I believe the gte has a better flowing head/manifold than the ge. All this would be swapped to excede gte status in the price of 4k listed. Would your brother not approve this?

he might...it would be much better than the ACURA RSX-S that he intented to buy originally...
would be such an awesome sleeper...
this $25,000 is in a form of a car loan so i don't think its possible to just get the money to fund this "project"

before i read the rest of the replys.. i godda say this.
those srt-4's are awsome little cars. i dont care what anyone things... they are f*cking fast. you spend a few 100 bucks and your in the 13's. they handle nice and they will eat my car as it sits now stock. you can say blah blah blah dodge this and neon that... but go drive on, dont think that its the same neon that every kid had chrome hubcaps on last year... cause its not. its about the fastest thing you can get for its money... besides a bike.
i would not buy one though.... simply because im done with the compact car aftermarket scene... been tehre done that... learned my lesson

I'd actually have to go a yr before you and get a 57 Stingray...but if I were to get a newer car, I think I'd want to get an Audi S4 if I had to pick an import. I dunno...just something I like 'bout those!
