Here we go again summer here, last year it was the radiator but with 265,000 km have to expect these problems.
This summer my car stops dead in an intersection. Turned out the little spring contact in middle of distributor cap was jammed in and it was a new cap. Replaced the cap then car stops dead again 3 weeks later. Took the distributor cap off everything okay, tested the voltage on the ignition control module (wafer like chip, square cookie size) inside the ditributor at the bottom, no voltage. Replaced that car runs great for 4 weeks then stops dead again. Tested all ignition wires then looked at coil. Was getting a reading of 10,000 ohms, new one reads 16,000 ohms and when put in, well the car runs just like it was new again. Now I'm wondering when the main relay is going to go!!! OR the bearings in the distributor!!!
Thought I'd post an up-date for all owners of 91 honda's because if you get the same problems maybe this will help.
Good driving.:bandit:
