Well...last night doing my typical friday night nothings and surfing around on honda-acura.net (because i almost never go there) I came across an interesting thread. The author had a metal on metal rubbing sound...he claimed "it has to be the rotor gaurd" unfortunately, after trying that nothing had changed.

Then...at the end of the post he said he had found the problem...one of the brake pad retainer clips, the ones that center the pads to the rotor on the caliper had made its way over so it sat closer to the rotor. It was warped a bit and bounced around. After replacing them...problem solved.

I got really excited and decided to do this today. Well...after screwing up the brake mc reservoir and getting air into my lines...damn...and then bleeding the brakes...........the "mystery noise" is NO MORE!

The only down side is I think I put too much brake fluid in the mc and the brake light stays on all the time...I plan on taking some out tomorrow. Everything works great though, Im so happy...I succeeded!
  :bandit: :D   :dollar: :fight :hypnotic: :stickman: :drunk:

well...poop...didnt quite fix it 100%...the brakes are a little mushy so I'll bleed them again on monday after work. That means I get to drive the grand cherokee tomorrow for my date (god finally)...which is not a bad thing. I still stop well enough for daily, but I want it to be more positive...more pressure needed for braking i guess
