Well, tonight I finally stopped being in denial. I go to college on the 17th. I am very excited and will absolutely make the best of it and love it, but my girlfriend is going to college the 13th. We are going to be 9 hours apart, and probably will rarely see each other again. Words can not express how deeply I love this girl. We have been through so many good times and some bad, but every day we grow closer. She is not only my girlfriend, but also my best friend- I simply can not say how much she means to me. Her presence makes me happier, even if she is in a bad mood. We have been together nearly 2 years now, and in one week we will go our seperate ways. I'm so freaking out, I don't know what to do. It finally hit, in one week I will be without her. ;( ;( ;( ;( ;(

You'll get over it...
Not to be harsh or anything... but when you see some nice southern bells kicking around in some dizaisy dukes... your mind will be elsewhere...
I'm not saying anything about your relationship with her but TRUST me... no matter how hard you try it's not going to evolve the way it would if you were together... there are WAY WAY too many variables envolved... it's just not a predictable or stable thing anymore...
You will both likely grow apart emotionally but remain good friends...
Are you guys planning on continuing a long distance relationship?
If so my advice would be not to.. give it a month or two but you'll see you will both likely get VERY busy and envolved in the whole new world you will both be exposed... since they are different worlds you will both evolve differently... "grow apart".
Buck up lil' camper it's not that bad...
Besides you've got a figgen Z in college and aparenty are going to be in a frat so you should be looking forward to a vagina hail storm... take advantage while you're young... AND ALWAYS WEAR CONDOMS....

Yeah, I know, like I said it will be awesome and I can't wait, but I will miss the deep emotional connection more than the physical one, because, as you so eloquently put it, I do expect a "vagina hailstorm" :D. We aren't going to try a long-distance relationship, that just wouldn't work. I would get drunk and mess with some girl, and would always be suspicous of her and that just wouldn't be cool either way.

College life is a whole other world....with way too many temptations! I know it's hard, I've been in your shoes, but you may be better off breaking it off before you both leave and just remaining friends. Having her as a friend is better than not having her at all.

We are breaking it off, certainly. I do plan on indulging myself in every way possible in college, but will miss her company, as we do almost everything together (she actually helped with my audio install, and I try to help her w/ her music)...

Youll forget her name, and probably yours too, once you get into college and get situated.. ;)
