So I was driving and I went to put the clutch in and somthin snapped, like a cable or somthing. Now it just sits there and does nothing when I push it in, it's just a limp clutch. What would this be? Is there somthing like a clutch cable? and would it be easy / cheap to fix? Thanks a lot

Yep, you clutch is gone. You may want to check to see if you have any leak underneath. You should have a hydraulic clutch. Check your reservoir too. If you are going to get a new clutch anyway, you might as well get an aftermarket one. It will probably be cheaper too. Goodluck

damn clutches. i just got new tires(yokahama parada spec 2's) and I was having problems with launches-they were too sticky- so the tires would barely spin with a 4500rpm launch and then the engine would bog. so i was trying out different rpm levels to launch at and was getting mad, so i decided oh what the hell. I tried a launch at about 6500 absolutley no tire spin....just the sweet smell of burnt ass clutch. Luckily i got the ACT waiting to be installed.
but as for your problem, did it happen with just normal driving? if so then i dont think the clutch is the problem, could be though. take it to a shop and have them figure it out.

Hmm... a snap? Well, it you have a hydraulic system, check your master and slave cylinders to see if they have fluid. Maybe the hydraulic system burst somehow and dumped the fluid. What you described is similar to the symptoms that I had when my master/slaves both leaked out all the fluid.

alright thanks guys....that is more complicated then i was hoping for. It was rainging and I didnt check to see if it was leaking, I was just driving normal when it happend.....just one quick snap then no pressure on the clutch pedal. boo
