junkyardin..what engine?

so i'm goin to the junkyard this weekend...i guess they have a nice setup...all the cars are off the ground and its all gravel.......well someone said that most engines are $100 pull it yourself......i thought of looking for a 93-97 delsol and a 99-00 civic SI to get a b16a2 but is there anything else i should keep an eye out for? like what year car and what series engine?

i'm hoping to find an integra GSR or USDM type R hangin out with the engine intact.......

plus i'm hoping to find civic SI wheels...if everything goes right i might atleast get a set of rims and my new interior pieces and maybe even seats

I doubt you'll find a b16a2 in there...but good luck anyway...it'd be cool if you did

I'm a junkyard junkie man:). I can almost guarantee that you will not find a B16A or B18C or H22. If you do, pull it out as soon as you can, becasue it will go away quick. All Honda engines have their engine codes stamped. Like pdiggity said, anything less than a B18B is no score but that is your decission. These are what I consider great score:
H22A
H23
B18C5
B18C1
B18B
B16A
Any Turbo
DSM 450cc injectors
Honda ECU's (OBD1/OBD2) and harness
Any Turbo
Starion/Conquest intercooler
Civic standard/CRX HF headers (great for turbo manifolds on D15 and 16)
Supra pistons
Supra injectors
Integra rear disc brakes
GSR and TypeR rims

Keep these in mind. These are great sell on ebay too.....Goodluck

Yeah JUNK YARDS..... I spent both saturday and sunday in a junk yard this past weekend. Found a 90 CRX si. Stripped that thing for everything it was worth. have to go back for the tranny when i get some more funds. Nice list BTW. Some things you left off but maybe that's just me. I also look for:

Saab IC's
Talon / Eclipse IC's
3rd Gen Civ /CRX Clusters w/Tach's
BOV's

I've never found a b16, b18, or h22 in ANY junk yard. Usually when a car of that caliber comes in, the junk yard has plasma cut the puppy out and sent it to some other engine place. I'm still trying to find a way to get a hold of these engines.

ha ha ha ha....i know what you mean shag. I did find 2 "untouched" B18B at one time. I was told that I could have each for $350 if i pull it out myself. The problem was, my ship was getting ready to deploy that week. I was too busy and cant find a place to store the engine..... maybe I'll get lucky again one of these days.

man, my local junkyards suck...only once was there ever an integra with a b18a still in it...and I didnt get it..

oh trust me man, if i ever see any B-series in the junkyard again. i will not leave until the f**ker is out. I will at least take the head home if I cant pull out the engine soon enough. Then I will comeback the next day.....

Can anyone suggest any good junkyards in Like Northcentral PA or western NY ??

I live in northcentral pa and there arent many junkyards that deal with imports cuz the scene is soo limited here it just sucks.. Basically Im the only hooked up civic for 50 miles.. sounds hard to belive but its true . Our closest tuning shop is almost 75 miles and the guy that owns it is a d**K anyway so..

if anyone has any ideas let me know thanks ...

Theres Gary's u pull it in kirkwood N.Y but if you find a civic or teg in there I guarentee it i'll be stripped before it gets of the tow truck. Call first to see if the have and civic's on hand.
