Hey guys, I recently put in my infinity perfect components and mounted the x-overs in the doors (between the two pieces of metal). I used fatmat (dynamat copy) on the entire car, but my x-overs still manage to rattle against the inside of the door during heavy bass... I was thinking about getting an old towel and just shoving it in the door between the two metal pieces, not just behind the panel... is there any downside to this other than being ghetto rigged? but hey, who would know ;)

thanks

heh, thats true... the x-overs are held to some wiring by zip-ties, so its already semi-ghettofabulous...

My only concern with the towl is when it rains, the towel my collect moisture and trap it against your crossover.

water gets where it wants to get.Plan on the worst-hope for the best. I wouldn't use a towel. The x-overs should be mounted somehow(zip ties, screws). Good luck.

In most cars I've opened up, I've spotted some form moisture in that area.

PS, I mounted my COs under the dash.
