Ok i have a automatice and i was wondering what is the best way to start off the line. Should you just slam the gas, push it a bit, start in a different drive what? Please help out thanks for any help.

Well I wouldn't do this too much but here goes.....
Hold the brake then rev it to about 1000-1500 RPM. You can kinda play around with the range, but don't got too high. I found that it was best to "bounce" it rather than hold it at a certain RPM. Just keep tapping the gas to let it hit the desired RPM (I used to use about 1500) then let it fall back a little. By doing this you will help reduce any wear on your tranny. Then when you're ready just get off the brake and floor it.
It really takes some practice to find a good launching point. Hopefully this will help you get pointed in the right direction.

like mr addict said you should do the brake stuff at 1500-2000. I don't know but honda engine kind of make the power/torque starting around 1600 rpms.
