Hey guys I was just wondering i've got a 2001 Civic LX and i'm looking to get a sound system in it. I don't like where the front speakers are mounted in the door and they rattle a good amount. I don't have a CD player yet, but i am getting one very soon. does anybody know if the CD player will help cut down on the rattling? i don't think so, and i was gunna get new speakers aswell. will the high quality new speakers help with teh rattling on the doors or am i pretty much screwed b/c of the way they put the speakers in the civics?? plz help, THANKS!

stick some dynamat in the area, but first find out what exactly rattles......like is it the whole door panel or what? cuz dynamat should help that considerably.

Ditto..

You probably dont even need dynamat..
It's usually 1 piece from the trim that rattles. So find that piece and secure it down.. Whichever way you want to.

The rattling can be fixed with some sound deadner. The best that I have come across is dynamat Xtreme but it is pricey. If your not going all out on your system then I wouldn't go the route. Just do what Mr. Accord Man said and find the rattling piece and secure it. Problem solved.

DO NOT GET DYNAMAT!!!!

Way overpriced. Go with something like Brown Bread from www.b-quiet.com or RAAmmat which is what I have and it's great. Do a search on ebay for the member "raam" or email him at raam@raamaudio.com. Nice guy, he'll be glad to hook you up. $65 for 50 square feet and save $5 per roll if you order multiple rolls.

I'd stick with Brown Bread.. Tried, tested & true.
