View Full Version : Powder coating valve covers
There's a local company here in South Florida that is willing to power coat some valve covers for around $40-$50 each if I can get 5 for the same color.... If I can get more than that... It'll be cheaper in the pocket.

what color are you aiming for? cuz i have 3 valve covers i need painted......unfortunately it could be a problem cuz i dont want them all the same color. but oh well.
I'm aiming for red cause I have a red car, but tell me the 3 colors and I'll see who else needs one in those colors.

I could possibly be in for a blue finish. What's the turn around time though?

Are they going to sandblast the covers before they do them or do you have to clean them?? Cause if you dont its very possible that the stuff wont stick to it?

2days....once I have it in possesion... They will be closed from Dec.21- Jan.6... I need to get atleast 3-4 per color... pretty much anything you need coated in the same color will be accepted too.

They prep and paint them... the only thing they mentioned to me is to tape off any area that you do not want painted....With the exception on the VTEC or Honda logo's can be sanded off.

To get a proper finish the valve covers they should be sand blasted if they are used...If you guys want I can get a kick ass deal on powder coating, mostly because my family owns a shop here in Albuquerque. We have all the colors, blue and red transparent, along with almost every other color you could possibly want...let me know

its more of a candy, you put down a silver base and then the transparent over it is like a clear coat, looks real good.

What kind paint did you use?
I was thinking of doing mine with paint. EIther that or anodizing it or powder coating?
