I bought my 97 SH about 6 months ago and have been fixing things ever since. The newest problem is that whenever I turn Right the car makes a really weird creaking noise. But it only does it when I turn Right. Could it be the steering arm boots? I took a look at them and they are both pretty cracked. I checked in the Haynes manual and couldn’t find much about it. Anybody have any idea? And if it is the steering arm boots how hard are they to replace? Thanks in advance for all your input

outer cv joint. if the boot is cracked you really have lost all the grease and the joint is about to go

Is there boots on the steering arms? When we looked under the car and turned the wheel it seemed like it came from there? Yes, we just had the whole CV joint replaced.
Another question, my cruise control just stopped working about 4 days ago. The button to the left of the steering wheel lights up but the dash light does'nt. We looked around and didnt see any loose wires or anything? Any ideas?
