fiberglass, polyurethane.. what's the difference?

What's the difference between these two... is one more flexible than the other, stronger, cheaper, suckier, less expensive??

poly can flex...thats why they make body kits, motor mounts, suspension parts, etc out of it. Its more expensive for body kits, but its worth it...but shops cannot repair it if it is seriously damaged (where as fiberglass can be cheaply and quickly)

ya if you damage a urethane part, you have to replace the whole thing, but fiberglass is easy to repair, but also extremely flimsy and easily breakable. Take a look at a stock civic's bumpers they are made of fiberglass, really crappy.

Uh... no they're not..

my 93 civic has a urethane stock front and rear bumper... hardly ANY companies use fiberglass... when they do it's generally for body parts to drop weight not bumpers... it's much easier to mass produce molded plastics then molded fiberglass.. flat shapes are easy with fiberglass but moded ones' are realatively labor intensive.

my mistake, i could have sworn it was fiber glass, i've just been able to examine my rear bumper real well since it's hanging on for dear life lol. guess not though, oh well, urethane is better.
