for the past week or so i got only a few hrs of sleep a night, more like 8 hrs for the entire week. i really don't know what is going on because i feel exhausted, but when i get in bed i can't sleep at all. any ideas ? Yes i drink a cup of coffee in the morning just to keep me up for the day, but it won't have any effect until i go to bed at night.

Good call, it could be iron-poor blood. But go out to the grocery store and invest in some Tylenol PM :D

I have horrible issues with sleep sometimes but they have been better as of late. About 6 months ago, I would barely sleep at all. Maybe an hour or two but about once a week, I would come home from work and just sleep from 6:30 to 6:30 then next morning. This was going on for a few months. Tylenol PM does work but when I take that stuff, I can not wake up. Are you going to sleep at a consistent time? Are you exercising or anything later in the day or evening?

They can be habit forming. If I have to, I take them though. I have not had to take anything in a while though. The last time I did, I took a muscle relaxer that put me on my ass for 2 days. I learned from that one.

Ever since I was in my car accident I've needed something for sleeping. Besides being on Percosets.....they prescribed Ambien. This has gotta be one of the best sleeping pills ever....only take it when needed cause it'll kick your ass

are you thinking about lots of things at night? something stressing you out? try classical music or a soundtrack with the sound of rain. that should clear your head and almost hypnotize you to sleep.

Buy a big box fan, and let it run at night while you go to sleep. man those things are so awesome! Trust me man, when I got to sleep at night I have this big fan running and it just makes this sound while it on, and just blocks out the sounds made outside and helps me rest easier. Good times ...

Yeah, the noise of my AC helps me sleep. But I did not really sleep last night so I guess it just did not do the job for me.

I know, right? That's not normal. I had a nightlight until high school but then I just started sleeping with my tv on because I found that more acceptable because it doesn't really make it look like I am scared of the dark. A lot of people sleep with the tv on. Anyone see that movie Darkness Falls? It was pretty stupid but it still managed to scare me when it was time to go to bed. Yeah, I don't think that it's really smart to sleep with the blow dryer on. That's not something that is supposed to be left on for hours and hours like a fan.

For real, that can't be good.

That's what I'm saying. Yeah, you'll sleep real good with the blow dryer on. That's because you will burn to a crisp and die from the fire that thing starts. My blow dryer has went up in flames after using for a 1/2 hour to straighten my hair.

Ever sleep walk?
