Show Car or Race Car?

Which one you like?

I have no plan to race my car or put my car at the show.

I perfer Show Car.

I want to get a car just for the track. I am not a big fan of cleaning my car, so keeping a show car clean is out of the question. I would rather have something that I can take to track and autoX events.

show car just because i find more use for the show stuff than performance

having a high-performance car for daily driving is useless for me...

i just need a car that can go 0-80 in various speeds with no problem.

having a nice looking car, on the other hand appeals to me more.

i'd rather have a slow but NICE looking car than a fast but UGLY looking car.

My car just has to be comfortable and get me too and from where I need to go. Hence my choice of car. I keep it virtually spotless, but it still isn't show quality.

Fast is fun every once in a while. If I poured money into into making my car super fast, I would only get to realize its full potential on rare occasions. Namely, taking it to a track. In which case I would get 10-15 seconds of pleasure for my investment. With a show car, it looks good all the time. Plus, car shows last for hours, sometimes days. From my point of view, a show car yields more for my investment (considering of course my situation, income, etc.).

But in the end its just hard to resist screaming down a strip of pavement faster than your car was meant to be able to go. :cool:

a little bit of both....i do agree with member...sort of...id rather have a slow but nice looking car rather than a fast but ugly looking car...on the other hand...the slow car....if it looks good stock already..id rather work on making it faster then look better seeing how it already looks good...and the fast but like rusty car or something...id work on both at the same time...

i think that kind of makes sense...

I should rephrase my earlier post. I prefer performance in all aspects...... handling and power. I'm a mechanic and that is what I do better. Dont get me wrong, I do not want an ugly car neither. I want my car to look clean with minimum to basic outside modification. I like a decent stereo system, which I already have. An aftermarket seat would be nice, since the civic 6th gen seats seemed to be made cheaply. Plus to me, a bucket seat is also tied up with the performance side. I will not spend about $1000 for a body kit. I would rather add another $200-300 or so for an AEM EMS.

There should be a drool smiley. AEM EMS makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. But on a similar note, I didn't pay anywhere close to $1000 for a body kit. In fact, I didn't even pay half of that. But once you figure in paint, etc. it gets closer of course.
