Ok, I have been looking around at newer cars to buy and i am really interested in buying a mid 90's prelude. Of course IT HAS to have the h22a engine in it because i want a faster car than the one i have now. I am just curious as to what models, and what years came stock equipped with the h22a. It will also have to be a manual 5spd. So, ANY information or VERY helpful and nicely laid out websites would be of great help. i have searched the internet but nothign really showed me what years/models the h22a is stock with. And also, how do you prelude owners feel about your cars?

all 5th gens have a h22 in them
for the 4th gen (92-96) the h22 was in the SRV (in canada, i don't the states have the srv, they have the si)

^er.. 97-01 have 195whp because it's USDM engine is h22a4. 92-96 have about two to three diff models Si, 4WS, and VTEC...I do not know too much on the 92-96's neither do i know the 89's, etc; 92-96 is more of a torque car and the 97-01 is a top-end car.

the 92-96 has 4 models:
S- f22a4 powered with 135hp
Si-h23a1 powered with 160hp
VTEC-190hp H22a1 powered
4WS i think it's h23a power

93 was the first year to come with a h22, although in 94 the interior got a slight overhaul and all vtec models (srvs in canada)came with leather and in 5 spd.

oh and the 5th gens had 195hp(not whp) from 97-98 then 200hp 99+ both models had the exact engine although the type-SH had the atts(active torque transfer system) to help with handling.
