I've heard about the resistor mod where you put a resistor in the O2 sensor in the intake manifold. You know, the one on ebay for $10 for 20hp? Well I'm not paying that much for a resistor I can get at Radio Shack for 25 cents. But I need to know exactly how many ohms I need for the resistor. Does anybody know the exact ohms for this mod?

I've never heard of that. What does it do? Trick the computer into dumping more fuel?? whatever it does, it wont add 20hp or any power cause if it did everyone with a civic would do it.

I'm sure it sends a constant "underfueled" signal to the computer...
IT WILL NOT add 20hp...
IT WILL destroy your catalytic converter... and probobly make the car run like ass....

Here is one of the auctions for it on ebay:

My roomate did this mod and said that it does make a difference, but I am aware that it won't give me 20 extra hp.

oh so it tricks the computer into advancing timing. how about you dont pay anything and do it yourself, all you need is a wrench to loosen/tighten 3 bolts and a timing light.
my car is OBD1, i'm not sure if the computer will just retard the timing back to stock on obd2.
it'll add a little power, no where near 20hp though.

also for at least 92-95 civics there is no intake air temp. sensor... so that wouldn't do anything...
also it could make your car ping like a beotch.
