Once I got all the repairs done that I could after getting t-boned, I had a white door, and a quarter panel with a bunch of holes in it. I finally got around to sanding down the door and qp and put a few coats of black primer on it. I was so stoked about my car being one color again (kind of) I barely noticed my hood turning brown. My first reaction was, "Damn, that's a lot of dirt. Maybe I should wash it." Then I got the wonderful surprise of finding out that it wasn't dirt, it was rust. Lots of it.
So I spent today sanding all the rust off the hood and reprimering it. This time with a sealer (another thing the previous owner apparently forgot to do). But the only primer/sealer they had was a light grey. My car is patchworked again.
So basically, the pictures I promised a while ago of my car with my WW kit will have to wait until I'm not ashamed to show my face in public again.
