I have a 2002 Accord Coupe. Just got 20 % metallic tint. I went to a real good place. Got the car back and it looks great but on the rear window toward the top there is a good strip thats seems full of air bubbles. I was told that this is due to the matrix on the rear window and that the tints will settle down. Do I try to smooth out the air and push the tint down? I was also told that bec no dye was used i should try to flatten out any bumps for a month???? Anyone have any advice?

let it settle by itself. if it's true matallic tint; ie, no die, it could take several months for it to settle, and really dry. wait at least 6 months before fooling w/ it.

Metallized films do take a lot longer to settle than traditional dye films.
If you're talking about the rear window where there are lots of little black dots and it looks like the film isn't sticking, that's normal. The tint doesn't stick to the black paint (or whatever it is) that's on the window. You can try to stick it down to the glass, but chances are it'll pop back up a little. It's not as big a problem on the sedan because the coupe has a gigantic portion like that, the sedan only a little. But it's not really a problem anyways.
Just wait until the film is settled down and go out on a warm day and gently push the tint up against the window. It'll help some, but good luck getting rid of it totally.....
