i'm thinking about getting an OEM style carbon fiber hood for my 97 civic, and i have a coupla questions...
1) can anyone get me a better deal than 310?
2) how does it go on? would i be able to do it myself?

price i have no idea...but i bet hondaman can say (brand depending)
it just bolts on in place of the original...sure you can do it yourself...might take some time to line up, but thats all
by the way...what brand are you looking at? VIS?

well man the price thing goes like this. Nothing is inexpensive, just cheap. So you might as well save up for a reputable brand

as far as i know the vis hoods do come w/ latches (unless im totally mistaken...probably not though)
only prob ive heard about vis is that their skeletons tend to knock on bseries engines...no prob if you do some trimming

One thing to watch out for though is the pattern in which the carbon fibre travels. Should all be uniform and not look like 2 pieces thrown together. At least this is my understanding.

I bought one from wings west. Cost me $1100 Cdn shipping and everything. What that is in US I am not too sure. Nice Hood!

the shipping on your hood is gonna be $130 ( $190 if u live in hawaii). i haven't seen the actual hood on the page but all the stuff was 96-00, where it should have been 96-98 and 99-00 (just a face lift: different headlights, bumper, fenders and hood)
