My sister is getting her license soon and i might let her pay me a couple g's and start making the payment on my car. So if i do this i think i am going to pick up either a hatchback and throw in a jdm b18c or a prelude with an h22. But whatever my real question is what in your opinion is the best model hatchback(year, model, etc.) Thanks.

it all depends on what YOU want.

I like the 92-95 generation... I think the newer and older ones are lame looking...

as far as model... again it depends on you... if you want light go for the cx/vx but those have crappier brakes...

I'd look for a nice si.

99-00 hatches are nice... ur not alone on that one pddiggity....

cx: lightweight...probably the best choice if your gonna go all out with mods..so what if it has ccrappy brakes...ur gonna replace 'em anyways...

si:i think they have powered stuff....

get an 88-91 4th gen. You don't see as many of them running around, and they can be had for real cheap (well under 2k). Interior is kind of lame, I gotta admit, but with the money you'll save you can mod everything quite nicely.

For a small amount of money the rear drums of the cx/vx can be swapped out in an easy bolt in bolt process. Rear discs off of 90-93 tegs work. Also del sols. Forget what year. It is in the forum somewhere.
