Oh man, i just found out that they are opening up the drag strip by our airport this friday evening and ANYONE can take their plain jane car out there and race it! Now i'm not too sure if its just timed runs or if you actually get to run against someone. It costs 20bucks a person, but spectators are free. So i am just gonna wtach and see how it goes..pretty neat tho for sucha small bum town!!

20 us dollers or canadan dollers?

that would be pretty sweet if they opened up the airport down here... or just a really long strech of road to race on.

$20 US is not cheap. I pay $10 when I run on test & tune.

$20 CDN is about $15 US.

Not everyone has a NHRA-class track in their back yard like us Central Floridians. And they raised their price to $15/run $10/spectator this season :\

And I would imagine that they are opening the track this Friday to try to give a ricers an outlet. Many people are going to see 2Fast2Furious this Friday and Saturday and drive like crazies afterwards. Anyway, be careful of cops and other drivers that night. Just keep an eye out.

ya i will be careful. I am almost getting sick of my car. I want something newer and nicer and faster. Or a older muscle car. This racing thing on friday is VERY unusual here because we live in a town of 20,000 people and nothing like this ever happens. The cops are so tight here on driving a little aggressive. A cop is around every corner pretty much. our town sucks. I can't wait to move to Calgary!!

that'd definately be cool, and $20 isn't a lot I guess when you have this one opportunity or maybe if it goes well they'll start bringing it back....i'd definately check it out
