If you are racing, heavy 18's are the last thing you want. Think smaller and lighter.

dont get chrome, you can get chrome plated and not be nearly as heavy. But dont get chrome, and go like 17" or maybe 16" if you want big wheels. And just in case you have never seen a wheel off a car they are absolutly HUGE looking. So i dont know if i would even want 18"s

I say, if you like the look of 18" chromies, go for it. Fact of the matter is, you (and I) are driving an Accord and it will never be "fast".
Now, for drag racing, the 18"ers will kill your 60-foot times (law of rotational mass) but you get a slightly faster trap speed. By the same token, if you do AutoX, the 18"s could actually help you (by providing a larger contact surface as well as being heavier to help keep the car on the ground.
On a side note, if your car is lowered and you are crusing on 18's, the tires could rub (just barely). It's nothing to worry about, I just wouldn't get anything bigger then a 40 sidewall.
