does anybody know how the Tokico Suspension Performance Kits are. Is the ride quality good. Is it a good alternative to more expensive full coilover kits

such as this

personally, i have had a great experience with tokico struts... my friend has a 99 eclipse rs with the tokico hp struts and eibach pro-kit springs ...

i have to say the ride is still comfortable but you can tell it still provides a stiffer a much stiffer ride, another thing..the setup still managed to lower to car enough but not to much so that his 18 enkeis don't rub..

my brother will be getting this setup on his 96 nissan maxima so i can probably post a more detailed "review" on this setup...

hey, I thought I'd just try to revive this topic instead of starting a new one.
I am thinking of getting a set of the Tokico springs with illumina shocks because they go for about $500 on the net and that is a good deal because just the illumina shocks with run you around $400.
I wanted to get the Tokico illuminas or the KYB adjustables with a set of eibach pro-kit springs because those springs have gotten alot of good reviews and I've ridden in a few different cars that have them on. I have also heard alot of good things about the adjustabel Tokico's and KYB's.

but it would be an extra 100 - 200 to get the prokits and a set of adjustable shocks. Just not sure if it would actually be worth it or not.

I have tokico hp's with eibach ground control springs and those struts suck. Get some yellow's.

the Tokico HP's are the non adjustable ones right? Have you ever ridden in a car with the Tokico Illumina's.
What experience do you have with the Koni's?

I'm just trying to get a feel of how people like different components before I drop a bunch of money on them

thanks

another thing to look for is to get the ground comtrol coilovers to match your shocks. they have different adapters for evey shock in part.

I really want to go with the eibach pro-kit springs because I have ridden on them and know what they feel like. I'm just trying to figure out shocks now. It has kind of come down to the following...

Tokico Illuminas (adjustable)
KYB AGXs (adjustable)
Koni yellows (adjustable... right?)

I would like to be able to get the whole setup, shocks and springs for between 500 and 600 and I know the springs brand new are going to be around $200 so that leaves me $100 max per shock. I have found one place that is selling the Tokicos for about $85 a piece and I can find the KYB's for under $100 as well.

Are the Koni yellow's going to be better than either of the other two? how many adjustment settings do they have?

does anyone know which of these shocks will work best with the pro-kits?

thanks
Sean

Hey Hondaman,
When is your site going to be completed? Most of the products show up but I wanted to see what you had for bushings and there was nothing on that page.

I'd be more than happy to support your business if we can get something set up. I might pick up an intake from you too. Could we work out a package deal maybe?

later
Sean

PS check out my latest post in the suspension forum, thanks

It looks like you will have a pretty decent site/business once it's complete. Have you had alot of orders allready?
are you going to carry any other shocks besides konis?

I'll e-mail you once I know what I want to get and what I will be able to afford. thanks

heh, i don't get too many orders. well i can carry other shocks too and other parts, but i can't do them low enough to compete with the others so i will just not add them. i wanna give out grat deals to my customers.
