i hear so many good things about what a clay bar can do for your paint job....so i went looking for one. I cant find one ANYWHERE. where do you guys get yours? i found a couple online but they are pretty expensive with shipping. just wondering where you guys get yours :confused:

I've used Meguiars and Mothers clay bars, both readily available in Auto Zone, Napa, etc. Make SURE you get a good QD spray with it.
Anyway, they do very good things for your paint if you're careful. Don't rub too much, don't use too much pressure, and make sure to do a paint cleaning/polish/wax after.

my autozone sucks!!!! they dont carry hardly anything....o well i gotta keep looking....wish i had a pepboys around here

Well, my autozone carries them, so just have them order you a Meguiars kit. For ~$11 it comes with the bar and QD spray.

heh, i never used claybars. i just like 2000+ grit and wetsand the clearcoat then buff the thing. you can do your hair after you do that to your car.

you know your autozone is capable of ORDERING things you want right... I'm sure they'd be MORE than happy to...
I asked about 800grit and higher sandpaper and tack cloths there and 2 weeks later they were in stock.
