This kid at my school thinks he can take me in the twisties with his BONE STOCK civic. I nearely laughed in his face when he said that...no wait, i did, lol. He is so retarded. He's like, "Dude, its all about the driver." i'm like, dude, first of all, that was the most retarded comment i've ever heard, yea its a lot of the driver, but a TON of it is the car also, and i have you in both perspetives." and then he continued to bullshit, and i continued to laugh, so i think i'm gunna race him, smoke him, then laugh some more, lol. what do you guys think of this retarded idiot? and what do you think i should do?

I hate to dis-agree with you as usual. and I'm not saying this kid could beat you...BUT

it is TONS driver and part car.... I have ROASTED dudes totally trying to keep up with me in MUCH better handling cars.

For sake of ease look at that Schumaker guy... he ROASTs his teamates in THE SAME CAR... and they're professional drivers... he just has SKILLS...

I consider myself a really good driver and I know 2-3 people who could out drive me in my car anyday of the week... they are just plain better drivers...

Good luck I hope you beat his a$$... if it's a royal whipping and you know the kid decent offer to prove him right and whip his a$$ in his car.

I tried to do that to a buddy of mine and his brother in the brother's teg.. (i had a 1.6 sentra he had a ls (1.8 non-vtec)) I BURNED them both in a straight line... I knew i could beat my car with his... he wouldn't let me do it.

I'm with nonuvbiz here. If you have good twisties (haven't you people ever heard of a racetrack?), the difference between your car (hello? doesn't look very far from stock to me) and his is pretty insignificant. A little knowledge of the course, entry speeds for turns etc should be much more important.

i couldnt agree with you more. he has much better grip than the bone stock civic. he has larger and wider tires, he also has a drop, how much is really unimportant as the lower center of gravity will help some also. he also has larger sway bars and stabilizer bars. on top of the suspension stuff, the exhaust and intake will free up a little extra hp,. not a ton but hell even if its 5 hp thats more than the other guy. even if it is negated by the weight of the tires and wheels, he will be able to take the corners better by the better grip.

Doesn't look much different? you mean the sway bars, stablizers, full coilovers and some good tires? oh no, that definately won't help me in the turns....dude, i've driven a stock civ before...i'll kick his stupid cocky ass.
