How do you know it's a Japanese person in the parking lot?
Do you know it's a Japanese parking lot and that the signs are in Japanese, or are you guessing? I can't really read the signs on my display.....
The funny thing is that it looks like it's parked next to another Skyline....mmmmmmmmmm, Skylines........

he'd have to pay all the shipping himself cause the military wont ship vehicles for you from japan(since you cant bring one with you from the states either). Then he'd have to do all that BS to make it street legal, which alot of people in the military cant afford.
how can you say thats not from japan
look at the architechture

very true... but the military doesnt get paid THAT good.
maybe it is in lousianna..... and someone just imported a skyline.... back in 2000 (i think it was??) we were up at a car meet and some dood pulled up in one... !!!OMG!!! everyone wanted to sit in it.... they were taking pics...... calling up friends.... it was a mad house... some 45 year old man owned it.... so i HAVE seen a skyline here in the states that wasnt at a car show or sponsored by someone.
wuts japanese about the pic besides the car? if im not mistaken, that (looks like) a GMC pick up truck in the background....

I would have to agree that the picture taken in is in Japan. It is expensive as h3ll to get a Skyline imported, much less 2 of them (the blue car pictured is parked right next to another Skyline). Plus, I don't think someone with no spelling or grammer would be wealthy enough to import one.
But, there is an off chance that the picture was taken in Japan and then the car was imported after that. Or there's another chance that the picture is actually in Louisiana (although I highly doubt it).

Sorry man, but a friend of mine brought a car back from Germany. Yes, you do have to do the legal stuff to it. But there are certain ways that you can get a car shipped back by the military without paying.
Its something to do with if you are still serving as military personel and youve been over there so long (he was in Germany for over 2 years.).. Something, something, whatever. I cant remember all the details.

The military will ship ONE vehicle for you, however I believe it depends on the location. For example Germany or the UK they will ship one there and also ship one back for you.
However if what AzCivic is saying is true, it makes sense. If the military won't ship a car TO Japan, they have no reason to ship one FROM Japan. The idea is that they'll ship your car there and then bring it back for you, but only 1 car. Of course you can ship a car there, buy a new car, and ship the new one back. Or you can go over without a car and ship a car back, but only if they allow shipping to/from that country.
Perhaps one of the military guys who's gone to Japan can confirm this?
I can't read Japanese so I can't verify that the sign is in Japanese, equally I can't see that the person is Japanese and not of descent from any other number of Asian countries, and the architecture....sheesh. I can't even see the characters from the picture....

Correct. If your allowed to bring a car to wherever your going then the military will ship one back to the states when your time there is done. You cannot bring a car to Japan or Korea(and a few other places) and therefore the military will NOT ship one back.
