Satellite is a waste.... A CD can hold over 100 MP3's and i get to choose what I want to listen to.

Yeah I went with XM. I actually mounted my antenna on the rear deck inside the car (well actually Civic Addict did that part.. ;) ) Ill try to get some pics of it for you.

Screw CDs and MP3s (I dont have an MP3 player in my car)... I dont have the time to sit around and find and rip all those song to cds. (Not to mention its illegal). Plus I hate having CDs in my car. Id rather pay the 10 bucks a month for 100+ stations. They sound great and Everythings right there at the touch of the remote.

That's really cool, I didn't know you could do that. So it doesn't hurt the reception going through dark tint, etc.? I'd like to see those pics if you get a chance.

That's cool you had some help, projects are much more fun that way. None of my friends would bother

Are there commercials and talking? Or is it pure radio?
And is the music good or same shit they play on radio over and over?

No commercials. The listeners flip the bill, not advertisers. As for talking, there are a few talk-radio stations on both services. There are over 300 channels in 16 different genres (on XM)... I doubt that you'll hear the same crap over and over.

If I were to go get Satellite Radio, I would do XM. Sure, Sirus came out first, but I think XM has taken the lead and is a bit more innovative (and industry backed) then Sirus (although the Sirus atennas look cooler :D ).

Actually on some stations there are advertising.. Especially on stations like CNN, etc..Since they are actually broadcast from TV or FM radio. They also have DJs that tell you what songs they listen to, but they will play several songs in a row. And for the stations that do have advertising, its nothing like FM. With FM the majority of my 25 minute drive to work is commercials and DJs talking. With XM, I rarely hear any at all.

94_Accord... I dont have any problem with reception. Sometimes trees (or tall buildings in the city) that our out over the road can cause reception to cut out, but thats pretty rare and its very quick loss... Im talking less then a full second. Id go take some pics for you, but its pooring out.. Hopefully later (maybe tomorrow) if the weather clears up Ill get the pics for you.
