i also havent heard much about celicas but if your looking for a cheaper car with power try a talon they are underrated and with some tunning and some bolt ons can reach 11's maybe 10's

You want to blow all 9k on the car, or do you want to have some left over for mods?

For Sale $850 obo

Add $8k in mods...and you'll be in da'house.

Or get that GSR Teg...They are quick, many available mods, and they are stylin....I agree with the above guy...a later model Talon looks nice and has countless mods and Eclipse swaps, but as a Honda/Acura lover, you have to keep it Mugen!

I've got a '88 240 DL I can sell ya super cheap, toss in a 5.0 Mustang engine, some new springs and a little more work to the drivetrain, and you're driving the ultimate sleeper that's almost even safe.

Get a MR2 or 240 or something....cars with good potential. Or maybe a Lude if you can't find your GSR.

I just cant get over the 240's potential.......also previously stated then kind of denounced by the all 9K comment was the talon....i'm driving an automatic talon.....91 AWD Turbo.....if my dad would have modded it and not beat the piss out of it it'd be a lot better...but it's got 170K which I believe is a lot for a DSM...and we haven't had any reliability issues.....

dude....it would be tight as hell to have a crotch rocket...that power to weight ratio is killer....literaly...it would kill me...id have to test out the 0-60 in like 2 seconds every time...plus id hit a rock at 160 and flip 45 times in the air..lol.....not to mention the insurance bill would kill also....

I dont want to totally take this thread in the wrong direction... But if you have never ridden before you DO NOT need a crotch rocket!

You do mean life insurance, right? Cuz there's not going to be much comprehensive or liability since, chances are, you're the only one who'll receive personal or property damage.

RR: If you're going to ride, ya gotta start somewhere. :) I want a bike but I'm split between getting a nice cruising bike like a Harley or a crotch rocket....but I guess for a nice spring or fall day to go cruising and enjoy the weather I'd probably be better off with a Miata or S2000 or something.

I dont mean you shouldnt get a bike if you dont know how to ride.. I mean you shouldnt get a SS class bike. Get something small, easy to handle, and cheap to start of with.. Ride it for a couple years, polish your skills get good at riding.. Then move upto SS bike class. Bikes are dangerous, all bikes will get you killed. Its just some do it a lot faster then others. 90% (or more) of the people that own SS bikes ride fast, and most corner hard. That is not something a unexperienced rider needs.
