Ok guys, as most of you know I have a red/graphite 6mt g35coupe on order to arrive June/July. Well, this is looking to be a bit over 35k out the door, so its pricey. I was hoping to get more for my car than it looks like Im going to get, so this is worrying me. I can get 21k for my car from a lady in town next week, and wait until June/July, without a car, to get my G AND pay the 4k. How did I come up with 4k? Well parents offered to pay up to 10k for graduation present. Anyways I am thinking about going with the 350z now. It costs less, performs better, better aftermarket platform, and the looks have really grown on me. The ONLY downside I see of it is no backseat. I could get the model of this I want for around 32k out the door, leaving me with only a 1k bill to pay instead of 4k, which gives more modding money! To make this decision ever harder, there is a red/black 6mt 350z 12 miles from where I live, specd EXACTLY how I want it, and I could have it NEXT WEEK instead of in 2 months. I could roll up to HS graduation in it, maybe just maybe even my senior prom. Anyways guys I need some opinions here, Im fighting myself back and forth and would love either car, but would like more thoughts. Thanks!

both are nice cars...
but depends what you want more 350 or G35?
do you want a sick ride now? or do you want a sick ride 2 months from now?
no matter what, you'll be gettin a sick ride
both cars, you'll be able to modify...my friend works at a nissan dealership and told me that if i picked up a nissan from him, he can get me nizmo? or nismo? stuff straight from japan thru nissan (close to cost price cuz of my friend..heh) but yeah...lots of potential for both cars (aftermarket wise) even tho they are insanely quick for a stock ride...
that my 2 cents...

Hmmm...well...seeing as they're almost the exact same car and one is quite a bit cheaper than the other...you do the math.

do u really want the fastets car ever made ? 92 accord LX is your best choice. ohhh wait that's the slowest ;)
i think it's really up to you between the nissan and infinity. prolly you know by now my sentiments towards those cars. can you cancel the order on g35 without losing any money ? (i dunno if u paid something for it or not)

I own a Maxima and my friend owns an I30, which are the exact same cars with different brand names, right?
Wrong...Infiniti builds their cars like tanks. Nissans have all these squeaks, rattles, and a million recalls. Not only that, Nissan service (at least at 3 different dealerships I have been to) sucks big time. Infiniti has really posh and nice service places, and they treat you right. The quality of the leather is just better with a luxury brand too. You sit inside the Infiniti and it just screams quality whereas Nissans just scream cheap.
In the end, G35c is just as fast as the Z, and you get a back seat too. Hell yeah. It'll impress the ladies too  .

Graduation present... lol. How about being the first in your family to graduate high school... Including your parents.
I'd buy neither. You could spend that money better, get something different and put the rest towards modding it.

Ok people boohoo for you, lets try to stick to the topic. I'm not going to apologize because my parents happen to have money and want to reward me for not having to pay for my college tuition. We've been through this before, lets not get back into it again, it is a dead-end topic which nobody will concede anything. Oh well, doesn't matter much anyways, I got my step-dad talking to his fleet people, trying to cancel the g35 and get the 350z here in town...;)

Why not do the obvious and the best solution. Sell both of them and get yourself a Porsche. By something that no one else can afford.

i am 100% for the g35, infinity cars are alot nicer imo than nissans.... like was said before, look at the i30 and the maxima. dont cancel the order. the only thing i'd change would be the color to bue or black.

infinty's may be better built but I love the 350z and I would definatly go for that it is shaped better and it turns heads more than the infinity:yes:  :pukey :paranoid:

yeah the Z turns more heads NOW...but it's also way more common...when you see a G, people look, and wonder, and since it's more rare people will continue to do that in the future. Plus, the exhaust note on the G is awesome, and dare I say it, more awesome than the Z to me.

I think they both look really sharp....it seems the 350Z is more of a sport compact...but everyone needs there room and style....the money factor i'd prolly got with the Z also....

G35c all the way, it's just a better car.
People who buy cars to "turn heads and save money" are also the same ones who end up taking their car into the shop more frequently to fix it, pay more in the long run, and keep companies like Ford and GM in business. :paranoid:
In the long run the G35c will serve to be a more practical car, if for no other reason than a better back seat. If you're looking exclusively for a custom or auto-x platform, get the 350. But if you're looking for a ride that'll last you a while, keep you in style, and god forbid be practical, get the G35c or something else.
