my car after custom paint!

dear lord. the 16 hours of sanding and prepping have finally paid off. this is the blue some of you might have seen on the inside of my custom interior. it matches perfectly :P i also have had spoiler holes in the trunk/ Honda logo holes shaved and filled, all dents removed, and all gashes filled. price? 450 dollars. nope, top of the line paint :P what do yo uall think>?

front right side... pics really dont do justice. this is the same blue featured on the Nissan 350Z. it also has striking resemblance to the new civic SI blue. very metallic

This is what he did..

celica, body kit (replica even..) forgot what the body style is called.. veilside i think. Anyways all the celicas have em.., 18 motegis, sawed off greddy, some spoiler.. lowered.. tv screens, various painting of interior shit..

and AUTOBOTS wants HIM!? that is just queer.

I'm going to wait until I sport the 240.. then see wtf they want.

BTW like i said its practically nissan blue. but it is more metallic in the sunlight. the company that made the paint is called ANNEX i think.. if someone wanted the color code bad enough i could get it. pictures do no justice at all. its nice getting stares/complements :P

it is nice..but personally i don't really like how he painted all the black weather stripping. it looks too fake. i dunno maybe i would just have to see in real life. but the paint looks good!

i didnt paint hardly any of the black weather stripping.. it looks exactly like an EX model. painted door panels and mirrors.

yea they are, I took the greddy pics earlier this school year, and the silent rage ones a couple weeks ago. Silent Rage is his sponsor where he gets all his graphics for free.

Celica looks tight.. I like Celica's... I like 'em better than my car... I think blue with white looks good. I don't really care for the hood spoiler though. :no: but overall it looks good. And did you paint your car yourself? Man, I don't think I'd have the patience for that. :o I'd rather pay someone else to do it.Too much $$ though. and I'm broke:paranoid:

Yea, if you're talking about the celica, thats factory paint. If you're talking about the civic, that would be a special paint that ryan found (mischieflts). He prepped the car himself with the help of someone else (for the sanding) and he painted the car with a friend as well. The only costs would be purchasing the paint itself.

free paint jobs own. you just have to deal with some minor imperfections to pay the price :P some overspray, contamination flakes here and there, some clearcoat drip. all of which can be buffed out so i could care less :P

i'm not really feeling the blue of the 4-door civic(4 door...why?!) or the lowering of the car where you can't see the tires...plus the stock wheels.

i would of saved the money of lowering the car and painting and got some 5zigen 5zr wheels...

i've go the same car...but a 2 door and it's still silver.

as for the civic...it's too aero dynamic imo.

the stock celicas are perfect so i think he f'ed up the car...

although the blue and white wheels look nice.

Ok, well first off.. Its a four door so he has more room to work with the interior.. He bought lowering springs, so there really is no option as to adjustibility of the height.. which will change.

hehe. the car is NOT done. not by far. its not a race civic, civics blow to race. its a showcar in the making. it doesent have to be stick shift coupe :P the lowering springs are going byebye, the coilovers/rims are coming in next. come on now, dont judge the car til its done!!!! :yes:

Ok first of all. U! Chill out! You did a hell of a job painting it. It looks very very clean, and I definately give u props on the job u did. Unfortuanetly I dont care for the color, and I dont like 4 doors either. Remember if u post a pic of your car and ask what people think then u are going to get people that just dont like it. i just watned to say that, that doesn't look like the 350z blue, my friend has an mitsu thats painted that, and its darker then that i think you got ripped

the reason your friend's is darker is because it is. he isn't using the same brand paint with the same mixture of chemicals. for this particular application, we chose to add more 'metal' to the paint to give off more shine. and also, yes the car is naturally alittle lighter, we didnt want it *exactly* the same as the 350z blue. so, no i didn't get ripped off. doing almost everything myself, made sure that it came out exactly as i wanted it to.

thx alot. paint is starting to wear already even as this thread still lives, probably either going to touch up and re-buff or just recoat the car in another type of custom color. possibly color-shifting dark-blue to lighter blue in the next 3 months. also expect to see a very simple JDM style lip kit around the car.
