I am relatively new to driving(only 17) and just started driving stick a couple months ago when i got my civic. I was just wondering how everyone else here launches their car here when they race. Thanks in advance.

i launch at around 4k on juice.....don't come fully off clutch till car hooksthen spray right off the line... keep in mind this all happens in a fraction of a second...although this wont help you at all unless you have a similar car...
basicly you want to find the spot where the car does not bog, but does not spin.. and drop clutch pretty hard..

in order to obtain a good launch you'll need to practice. Dropping the clutch is the sudden release of the pedal causing it to go into gear quickly, generally results in a heavy jerk, wheel hop and spin, not ver good for the tranny. just practice by first being able to keep enough pressure on the pedal at a standstill to keep it right before the friction point(right where the car moves forward just a little and you notice the rpms drop), then bring up your revs and let the clutch out. do this trying to get max rpms but minimal wheel spin and hop. it'll take practice to find the perfect mix that you'll be happy with.

I ease in the clutch at around 900 rpm... lol
I destroyed my clutch this winter when I had to pull my friend out of an embankment in reverse. Now if I dump the clutch at high rpm, my car violently shudders, and doesn't really go anywhere.
next project: clutch replacement!

I launched on the street around 4500 on the stock hubbys and 19" aero speeds on back and it lost an assload of traction i fried the tires and tried it at the strip( w/ the 19's) and it it wasnt half as bad so it really depends on wat u got and were ur doin it o and btw i dont ease off the clutch and slam of dat shyt its a great way 2 burn the shyt out of a clutch in a week( o and i got 1 installed 4 free by my friend at sum shop so my only concerns are transmission problems wich is goin out ne wayz be cause i got brand new internals 4 it including a type r final drive train so yea w/e)
