Yeah, none of the other stuff really disturbed me. GT, didn't you start the thread regarding the holocaust themes? Then there was the one with the videos and the Hamburg one and a couple others. In terms of everything I have read about PETA, it usually just pisses me off. But that is just horrible in regard to what this woman wants to do. In a way, I guess I respect that this woman is trying so much to prove a point. I am all about ethical treatment for animals. That is something that I and others believe in on our own terms and it was never PETA that made me believe that. I don't think that some lady being turned into a leather jacket after she dies is really going to change the opinions of that many people nor is it going to turn everyone into vegetarians.

Don't really think PETA is just about ethical treatment of animals. Some lady near here had a puppy farm, and she hired someone who was supposed to take care of the puppies, feed em, etc. Problem being that the person she hired was part of PETA. Well the guy neglected his duties and filmed it all to make it look like the owner of the puppy farm was depriving the puppies of food, care, etc, when he was hired on to do all that. Sick bastards.

Why yes...you have an excellent memory. I'm with you. I love animals and I'm all for them being treated in a humane fashion. Problem is that humans are omnivores so we eat meat along with vegetation. So it's in our nature to eat meat...and I know that no one can prove that every burger you eat was killed in a humane fashion but I take solice in knowing that at least it wasn't killed kosher (you don't even wanna know what they do to kosher cattle). But I don't support testing cosmetics on animals (why not just test them on people? If you need paint for your face you don't deserve to look good). But the folks at PETA are the folks who don't eat eggs or drink milk...like it's so painful to milk a cow and it's such a travesty to eat an unfertilized chicken embryo (that sounds gross but tastes good). Those people are all about evoking emotion. Take away their shock factor and no one would pay attention because PEOPLE LIKE MEAT AND DAIRY PRODUCTS. LOL, you guys are funny. In terms of the people in PETA that won't even eat dairy... I don't think it is because milking the cow hurts the cow or because it hurts the chicken to lay an egg. I'm sure that they have some example of an instance where these animals were mistreated and they don't want to support any organization that can potentially be doing that. To an extent, I can understand that. As far as testing cosmetics on animals...I am 150% completely against that as well and when I purchase something I make sure that it says that it was not tested on animals. As far as kosher meat goes, I believe that it has something to do with bludgeoning the cow in the head but I am really not sure.

LOL, I had a mouse once named Arnie. I did not buy him. He was a wild one actually lose once in my basement and my mom set out all these little mouse traps that worked like fly paper so he would not die.
