Lack of sirens

about an hour ago i was on my way out, driving down my street doing about 60 as i usually do..(its a 40 zone). Anyways as im aproaching the end of the street and theres this guy in a golf that burns out out of a driveway. i was the only car there, he couldve waited... but thats not the point of this post. Naturally i slow down to keep a distance, and not cut it close cuz this guy cut me off. The thing that gets me is that a cop comes flying out of the entrance to the subway like 20meters down the road without any siren, and cuts me off as well. There were parked cars blocking the view pretty well so if i had gotten on the gas i probably would have gotten side swiped by this cop. anyways... it pisses me off when cops do shit like this. they race around my hood during the day/night... and rarely uses their sirens....

does it bother anyone else that they dont use sirens like half the time... or is it only in toronto that this occurs on a regular basis?

Not just by you man. A lot of times in town I see cops heading someplace without their sirens on, only flipping them on when they get to intersections. I understand that they might be trying to avoid waking people up when they do this between say 11PM and 7AM or something, but it will cause an accident at some point.

Most times on highways though they are sporting enough to turn on the sirens, but that's probably because if they didn't, they would never get anywhere with the volume of traffic.

yea tons of cops just flip there lights and sirens on.....go through the red light....turn them off just after they get through it....Abusing the power much? lol

I had a run-in w/a crazy assed Highway Patrolman back in my home town Claremore... Not good.

The bastard was just parked in the road across TWO LANES right as you came over the top of a hill! I came over the hill at about 80 & had to lock up the brakes to keep from hitting him which wouldn't have worked by the way had he not SLOWLY put his stupid car in drive and began to pull of the road.

My driver's side front fender missed his back quater panel by like an inch!!!!!:mad: Needless to say he really had it in for me after that. Turned into a stalker always hiding on my road, driving by my house, etc....

did you remember the plate #? if you do then call it in and say what happened. They have what car and what cops on file...he should get chewed out

He should, but the thing about Oklahoma is...the highway patrol don't really answer to ANYONE. They do as the please, and there is NO consequence.

There is one town north of my home, Claremore, that I won't even go to! It's called Vinita that I won't even go into. There's a highway patrolman there that has killed the town's Sheriff's wife and daughter doing unnecessarily high speed through a crowded downtown area, has been brought up on rape charges more than twice, and NOTHING happens!
