sup all
I got two questions.
1) Has anyone gotten their car painted at Maaco or another national business? If so can you tell me how it looks, what kinda paint job u get and HOW MUCH was it?
2)Secondly, I hav a question about a Head swap. If i hav an LS motor (B18B) and i want to do a Type-R or GS-R Head Swap, can i just buy the head or do i need internal stuff like pistons and valves or crap like that?
THANX ALL!
:) :) :)

Maaco...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
If Ive said it once, Ive said it a bajillion times, "I wouldnt touch anything from maaco w/ a 40ft photanium pole...WITH gloves and face guard"
(Photanium comes from the land of He-Man, Eternia, by the way)

Maaco is fine... even their cheapest paint job has a guarantee on it... A buddy of a buddies just got his dump body f350 painted white and my friend said it came out AWESOME... then a guy I know who does body work said to me... if you want I'll do anything but change the color of your car... if you want to do that we'll prep it and bring it to maaco..
They paint in a clean room and bake the paint so you're pretty much guaranteed better results than doing it somewhere more sketchy...
But if you can afford it... go for a better place than maaco.
You won't get a show winning paint job but it should be fine... make sure it's a good place first though... ask to see some cars they are doing or have done.

Sorry....
You can just buy the head but there are some more details to it than that...
Specifically you need to either drill or fill (or maybe both) a couple of holes on the block and the head... and something about running a line for the oil pressure so vtec will engage.
for specifics go to honda-tech.com there are probobly 30-80 dudes there running ls/vtec or cr/vtec motors.
