I am looking to get a set of springs to lower my car.
http://www.procarparts.com/store/di...-XXGL-0103-GLSX
But the manufacturer is saying that I have to "Trim the bump stop"
What is a "Bump Stop"
If I bought a better pair of springs, would I still have to do this? Or is this something you have to do with all lowering kits.

A bump stop is just a little rubber peice that is on the "rod" on the strut. When you remove the strut/shock, you'll see it. Its like 3 little rubber fittings. On my installation, we were only supposed to remove 1 (of the 3) but we cut all of them off.
That's what a bump stop looks like, but I am not sure exactly what it does...

SUGGESTION:
Get some performance shocks with your springs. Your stock shocks will blow out very easily if you go any lower than 1.5 and if you do depending on what spring you get depends on what shock you cna get that will work with it.

a bump stop is supposed to prevent you from bottoming out. if you bottom out too many times you might end up blowing your shocks. from all the springs i've seen eibachs are the ones that will work with your stock struts.

Well it just depends how low you want your car. 2.2" is pretty low...

You need to keep into consideration the kind of driving you'll be doing. If you live in the north where there's snow, you don't want to go too low (or invest in some coil overs where you can raise it). Or if your daily drive involves going over pot-holes or railroad tracks....

i got 17 inch rims with neuspeed springs. i think the shocks that on the car ar koni's factory. that or my cousin changed them to koni before i bought the car. but the neuspeed drops the front pretty low to when i can get a coke can under it. back has decent clearance.the ride quality is nice tho. have the to strut bars on front and back.. also can someone tell me if the 95 accord came with factory front and back sway bars? i looked at the ass end and no sway bar,,, cant really see the front cause i need to jack car up. i just bought the car from my cousin last week. and im more of a toyota person.

the 95 Accord doesn't come with a rear strut bar. I just put on in my car this weekend. It was pretty easy also.
Go to www.importzrus.com and click on the How To's section.

I am talking about the Rear Lower Strut bar. The car doesn't come with that.
