Ok this is what I can guess on the idle prob:
leaking EGR VALVE...did you check the valve? not just the egr itself?
clogged/dirty as hell air filter
faulty fuel pump (not delivering enought fuel to the injectors)
leaking head gasket (yes you have a head (engines are mainly composed of a block (the bottom) and a head (the top) and then some dinky valve cover thats on the very top like a hat)
timing belt/pullies worn
worn camshaft lobes
now for the stalling:
incorrect idle speed
clogged fuel filter and/or water in the fuel system
damp distributor componants (or damaged)
bad or incorrectly gapped spark plugs
vacuum leak in the fuel system, intake manifold or any other vacuum hoses
valve clearances not set correctly
See...lots of stuff could be wrong with it...sorry to say...
But I think that the ignition timing is off...thats why youre lacking power AND its stalling out...check all the spark plug wires too...if those are original then that would be a big thing too...I'd really take it to a dealer so they could diagnose the prob (not some regualr joe mechanic...dealers know best...)
