I brought this topic up last year and then nobody seemed to have it because it was pretty pricey (equipment wise). I have had it since it came out and I absolutely love it. Kicks major FM ass! I have the XM radio ready radio head, the tuner control unit (mouted under the passenger seat), and then of course the antenna (which is NOT mounted on the outside of the car, it is mounted in the rear of my car inside). Anyway, it is pretty cheap now! $99 for the XM radio FM modulator unit. I seriously recommend it.

Thats true. I used to do that but I fell for XM when I came out. More than 4 channels for each type of genre of music. I love the comedy channel...God I could go on and on...

I could really see getting it if I moved up to the UP (upper penninsula of michigan, for those of you who are from else where (theres NOTHING up there...and I mean nothing, just trees and swamps)). So little anything I think I would need it so I could get more than just 2 stations: Country and Western (seriously...those are the 2 stations up there near the "big" cities)

I had it...got it free cause I worked for an authorized dealer. Got the service free and the equipment. It was ok but I never really listened to it. It definetely is better then FM but I still listen to mainly CDs

What's up with the antennas? Do they have stealth solutions yet?

I refuse to pay for radio. as it is the FCC decided that they get to decide who can transmit and who cannot. Now this XM and sirius crap is just one more step into giving the corporations more control over what we can listen to.
nevermind, just ranting...
but yeah, I continue to burn cds rather than buy them. I wont burn cds that are under ten dollars retail, because I feel that that is a reasonable price to pay. Eventually the RIAA will figure this out.

I know a few people with XM and I like it a lot. The only thing thats stopping me is the $200 something for the installation kit. I dont feel like spending that..the $10 a month I could care less. XM is better than Sirius I know that. But it all depends what kind of music you listen to more.
