*** WARNING *** *** WARNING *** *** WARNING ***

This video is very graphic.. I'm warning you in advance.. No matter how desensitized you've become to watching horrible things on the internet, this will probably still make you feel horrible...

It's a video about animals killed for food, animals like chickens, cows and pigs...

http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/video.asp?video=mym2002

I really wish I could do something about this.. Watching those idiots mess with the animals like that.. for no good reason!!

;(

Yeah, I don't need to see that. Shut it off a minute or so in. I'm not freaked easy or anything, but who needs to see that?

Its to sensitize people to this problem. Unless you think it isnt a problem.

I understand that man. I'm just not gonna get upset about it is all. If they weren't meant for us to eat, then why are they here?

Im sorry...its food...
im not gonna say that the throwing of the chickens into the boxes is right, nor is the dragging of cows by their legs...but I think many people have it worse off than this (which is the worst of the worst)
Should animals suffer before their death? No. Should they be treated like pets? No, because if they were we would have a much harder time killing them when we need to eat.
Lets face it, its not pretty; but when compared to how it was done yrs ago (live pigs drenched in boiling water to remove thier skin) its much more civil.
I say F*** peta (now you can all get pissed at me about it if you want to...but how would you suggest we kill them?)

that's F U C K E D up. mods, i don't really give a F U C K about censoring cuss-words, but now isn't the time to censor it.

watching that make me want to F U C K them up so bad. tie them up and torture them just like how they torture the animals.

i'm talking about animals that don't talk in any language.

I think that those people think that just because these animals are going to die, then who cares how they treat them? That is wrong and a lot of what I saw is inhumane. I don't think that there is anything wrong with eating meat. But, I do think that there something really wrong with all the physical abuse. I felt bad when I saw that. That's a lot of pain and suffering that those animals go through for no reason. Just because these people are cruel.

all animals can talk to one another...its body language...im not trying to be an ass, just pointing it out.
We are the "top of the food chain" and hanging pigs up and slitting their thoats is more civil than a polar bear biting the neck of a seal and letting it bleed slowly through small holes...meaning its alive when the bear is eating..."The point is...you're alive when they start to eat you" Jurassic Park. Same thing applies...killing it our way it dies faster and thus humane

^^^

natural animals don't have weapons or tools to kill their prey in 2 seconds...they HAVE to kill it while they're alive.

us humans on the other hand, HAVE tools and other ways to kill the animals. we don't have to torture them.

yes, however if you are able to reduce the duration for which it has to suffer.. Shouldnt you?

exactly.

if someone said they were going to kill you, would you rather be killed in a second or have them hang you up and torture you?

im saying that slitting their throats is good...hanging them from their feet makes the blood drain 10X quicker and in turn the animal doesnt suffer NEARLY as much as it would if it were in the wild (in fact many these animals wouldnt even exist w/o humans)
Im NOT saying that all the cruelty is good, but again, these are the worst of the worst as far as cruelty...many places do not treat the livestock in this way (however, the killing of them is probably the same)

I Think thats horrible, ANimals shouldn't be tortured just because we can. thats so retarded. I Do think that they are here for us to eat...but not torture...it is wrong to make an animal suffer....if your gunna kill it for food, then kill it fast, and painless. I love meat, i don't know how i could live without it, but torturing them is pointless and cruel, and God doesn't like it.

I saw this one informercial late at night talking about animal testing. That was pretty bad. They should pigs being set on fire to test products. Stuff like that. It was just product testing, it was pretty sick.

Basically yes we have high tech weapons, if we didn't then we'd be killing them with spears, or knifes. We are the fittest, its the law of nature. To kill to eat is one thing, but to kill for anything else is another.

Whats the point of cutting the chickens beak off? and whats the point of throwing them in the cage?

I used to have a pet turkey named Princess, lol. I would pick her up and tote her around but one day a dog got her. :( Anyways.

ehhh, I can't bring myself to watch it. I have no interest in that shit, it would just make me cry. I guess you could always kill your own animals and do it your own way. :)

I agree w/ p-dog in the sense that, yes, we do need food, and this is how you would obtain it.. you have to kill something. Anyways, it doesnt matter whether or not we compared to polar bears have weapons or not, .. I do agree with Accord Man w/ the duration of time they have to suffer; instead of hanging the cow upside down and bleeding it to death O.o .. they can just take one swift stake to the head.

there is a right and wrong way to raising animals for food, it seems these people are doing the "wrong method." That was not something I really wanted to see this morning, and of all days. BUt ya it doesn't surprise me how badly they are treated, jsut remember their animals and they're people on this earth treated worse then that. Before I go getting all worked up about the animals I'd like to see people being treated better... follow me?
