Whats up. I was in my friends fathers 02 mercedes last night getting dropped off and I couldnt help but notice how damn bright his gauge cluster was! It was so bright and white. I loved it. I was wondering, does anyone know a place where they sell like super white replacement lights that can plug in and replace the existing ones? I want my gauge cluster to be BRIGHT white...

he's probobly got a electroluminesent gauge cluster, my moms lexus is the same way....and my car :cool: its not a paper face gauge. i'll see if i can find pics of mine. my cluster isnt lit by bulbs, i have like... rods in there that emite light... kinda hard to explane

I took out the cluster and I saw all these bulbs on the back. I know someplace out there sells those bulbs in like super white...

Hmm... those are used as corner bulbs in some cars. If that's the right size, those would be good, or polarg hyperwhites would work too.

100% now confirmed. Here is an installation web site on how to do it. Its not for a Honda or Acura I believe but it is pretty much the same installation. Enjoy! I am going to do this on Friday!

yup, i dunno if you can replace the bulbs to get that look though, its gonna look more bright around the builbs. i know people have tried to change the color and had it come out like ass... here a old pic of mine with the flash on, i'll do one tonight some time with no flash

?? I wont look good? I dont want to change the color. I just want to make it really bright white...like blinfing white;) No?

There is a downside to having nonadjustable bright gauges.... night driving. When I drive on really dark roads, I turn my indiglos all the way down because they are distracting.

Shouldnt they still be adjustable? I mean all I am doing is replacing the bulbs, and I do still have the dimmer to utilize.

looking at mine and my brother's the light comes from above and hits the gauges then reflects. i'm about to get some fluorescent pain and do the numbers then use some leds from radioshack

Ya, I know those bulbs. In my old Civic I took those out and it looked a lot better. After I took them out the gauges seemed brighter since those 2 bulbs were out.
