my girlfriend is looking to trade in her 2001 Mustang GT (Auto.,17K) at the end of the summer and I sense she wants some kind of "luxury" car. Trade in on blue book was like 15K and who knows how much her father will spend. I'd say no more then 20K. What years or models of cars would you look at....i'm thinkin BMW, Mercedes, Audi,Lexus?.but not sure what years and models to expect for 15-20K
Any information or bright ideas would help me browse lol...

might wanna look into used lexus sc300/400... you should be able to get a nice one with less than 50k miles for 20k... if you wanna go sedan you are gonna have a hard time getting a luxury sedan with low miles in good condition for 20k... audi a4 would be a good bet for ya...

You can probably get an Audi A4 built on the B5 platform (first generation) for somwhere in the area of 20, depending on the year and the mileage and options of course.

Is she looking for a coupe, convertible, or sedan?

I second the M3 suggestion. You can get a 95-98 for a reasonable price. The Daytona Violet is my favorite color with the dove grey interior http://www.bsforums.com/images/smilies/loveheart.gif

i wouldn't say she's so into performance she likes her mustang just because I don't know. But she wants to drive all year round...so it's wierd for me trying to find her a car that isn't rear wheel drive. I'm thinkin probably a BMW M or 3 Series........Brand new RSX?...WRX....But i think she wants more of a classy look then all performance...not sure why she got the mustang in the first place....don't like it really.....but i'll drive it ha...and know i'd never trade in my g/f for a BMW...
