my breaks are squeakin so i'm gonna get some new pads and maybe some slotted rotors......
but what kinda pads should i get....is there any of those that claim they have no dust for real?
cause once i get some rims i dont wanna be cleaning them off everyday cause of horrible dust
Check out Axxis brake pads....here's a few links.....

theres gonna be some dust regardless...its how they work. There should be less, however, because its not as soft a compound

i'm told i gotta replace the rotors cause it might warp the factory set so i might as well get those while i'm at it

you could just sand the brake pads down a little bit if they are still good. That will get rid of the squeeky noise.

yeah but if hes gettin the slots the old pads wont work...but then again, the pads will be calibrated to the oe rotors and you'll need new ones to use on the slotted (ive heard lots of probs with changing old pads over to new rotors)

I wouldn't recomend getting metal or hard compound brake pads... I have tried lots of differnt levels of hardness and the best breaking performance and feel comes from organic or semi-organic brake pads... they don't where rotors half as much and they don't need as much pressure to get good stopping power out of them..
I have slotted rotors in the front and the stock brake pads are NASTY on them.. I've found metal pads are too hard and don't grip the rotor as well till they're HOT. (that's why they warp stock rotors) this gives great hot breaking and good force but you have to either jam on the brakes HARD or wait for the friction to heat them up enough...

the AEM ones are not metal (its a carbon-kevlar combo) and doesnt need to be heated like the metallic pads (ro so AEM tells me)
