That's it.

It's all wired, but every time we put the fuse in the power line off the battery, it blows?

Anyone got an idea why?

It might be too small- check the power ratings on your amps.

Also check your ground.

if you're using the proper fuse, then its most probably a short.

Do you know why it blew in the first place?

My roommate and I were putting subs and an amp in his girlfriend's car. Went to put the fuse in after everything was run and they all blow. Worked at first, but not now.

Sound's like a short, but you're not being discriptive enough. Do you turn the system on and then it blows? Do you just insert the fuse and it blows instantly?? What?

Yeah, it's blowing as soon as he tries to put it in.

Then you have a short. Is the car or the radio on when you put it in??

No, shouldn't have been. I dunno though, I had to leave for a while so I dunno what he was doing. Any other reasons for a short?

Found out the problem this weekend. We went to run a new line and get this. When we ran the line we had to unbolt the seatbelt. Ran the line and as we put it back together apparently the screw for the seatbelt went right through the damn power line.

I understand.. but everyone was telling you its a short..

And when you think you may have a short.. Usually the best way to solve it is to rewire..

Oh, I get that. It was his girlfriend's car though and none of us had the time to get back in there until this weekend rolled around is all. Just wanted to let you guys know what it was and thank you for your help.
