View Full Version : 95 DX coupe without Power Steering?

Hello, just a 'noob' here. Went to a dealership on monday, test drove a 95 DX coupe, liked everything about it except for the extremely hard steering. I just thought that it was a bad power steering pump or whatever, so the dealer said they'd take a look at it, and see what they could do. So, I figured it was a pretty much done deal, as long as the steering was fixed. It had "Power Steering" on the list of features in the window. But the next day, they called and said that it didnt have power steering. So, I didnt end up buying the car. BUt I've read that Power Steering was a standard on all 95 Civics....so, I guess I'm hoping somone can prove me wrong....or something.

I dont understand why they'd advertise it as Power Steering, and then not have it? Dunno.

hmmm i never heard of the civics dx to come with powersteering.

DX ? or Value Package ? i think the VP or DX-V really have it

mine is a 2000 dxv 4 door........supposedly even less features than the base dx model. i really think it has it, might wantto do some checking.

i think it has a lot more features than the base dx model: haven't seen a dx with a cd player, power locks etc

My Dx had power sterring, but i removed it, so it is a TRUE that atlerast 94 DX's have power steering...

no powersteering gives you 5+ HP if that makes a difference, and your arms get pretty buff too lol for all dose ladies!

My DX doesn't have power steering. Its Manual Rack and Pinion. like iRACEmyCTR said, you will get pretty buff =) and it does add 5 horsepower. And look on the brighter side of things, its one less thing to worry about. Never have to fill up your power steering fluid. if anything, the rack and pinion rods would snap, but i don't see that happening.
