1. any newer stock civic motor (D16) will prolly fit no prob./no mounts or a ZC
2. u got D15 sumthing rite now...
3. if u do an engine swap you will probably get a new tranny and ECU with the swap...
(again i could be wrong)
but hey.... i'm b0R3d as hell...
Story-
mah friend with a 91 CRX swapped a B20 (CR-V motor) in to his car. that thing is MAD-FAST! Low 13's off motor... so much torque... *drool*
uhh... wut wuz the point of the story u ask?
i dunno either...
DON'T MOVE THIS TO THE SWAP FORUMS!
He'll never get any help over there...

any d-series motor will fit in w/ out motor mounts. so a d16z6 (92-92 ex and si engine) would probably be a good bet. you can keep your tranny and axels, although i would use the ex/si tranny for the shorter gearing. you will need a vtec ecu though.

as for what engine is in there right now, it depends on your trim level:
STD (says nothing on the back and has a black plate in between the tail lights) - D15B1 ~70hp
DX (pretty sure it looks the same as the std, but says DX on the right side) - D15B2 ~92hp
Si (has red center, and is the best USDM model. says Si on right side) - D16A6 ~108hp

most motors if you buy them new come with a transmission, I would imagine that they fit better than with a transmission that wasnt built to fit the engine

trans only comes with the engine if you specifically ask for it or if it is advertised as a full swap. longblock means just the engine.
So for example if you wanted to put a ZC engine in your car (assuming your an Si, if not you'll need a wiring harness and new ecu) you could use your dseries transmission, but you'd need different axles (i believe 90-93 tegra shafts will work). Like I said, if you are Si, then your ecu will work. If not, then you'll need to find an integra ecu, si ecu, or ZC ecu (hard to find). The mounts you have now will work for your ZC.
Any B series will require: engine, trans, mount kit from hasport or placeracing, ecu, wiring...basically everything. If you're lucky, you may stumble across an integra at a boneyard that you can get your full swap out of for DIRT cheap.
so basically:
any D series will mount right into your car, and you may be able to use some of your factory parts.
any Bseries, and you'll need to do a full swap
any other series, good luck cause Its gonna take lotsa time and money (ie an H22)
