i think that the owner was being stupid like some car owners and just thought Type R was cool so they badged it that way. The other day i seen a Cavalier Type R....to my knowledge that don't exist my friend....

jc whitney and whole bunch of other companies sell type argh emblems, so anyone and everyone slaps them on whatever has a motor and moves.

only honda/acura make true type R. And as far as I know the only true USDM type R is an acura integra. (not to say all tegs are type R, they are very rare. I actually saw a true on the other day, in real life. probably the only time I'll ever see one!)

Porsche has used the "R" naming standard for years to represent "Race" cars. They reserve it for models with stripped interiors and that are full of lightweight components. They also tend to give the R's a few more horses.

This thread is funny as fuk! :toofunny:
As far as TypeR goes, It's a Honda thing. But not all Honda cars have a typeR version. The only TypeR model available in U.S that Honda has is the Integra (but not all integras are typeR, including mine although I have a typeR motor). So if you see a civic TypeR (unless it's a right hand drive, which is a possiblilty) or delSol typeR or accord TypeR or Prelude TypeR..... those are only badging that people put.

There are Nissan R like the Skyline GT-R and Sentra Se-R. I think Jaguar has an R-type(vice TypeR) models too.....
