i just got a used car for 300.00 off this guy he had gotten it at a police auction the car has no plates? so how do i get the plates? and also will the dmv charge me to put the car under my name and how much?

the DMV is where you get your plates from, they will charge you registration and tax on the car, unless you had to pay tax from the police auction. what kind of car btw.

If the title isnt clear youll have to have it inspected and get a salvage title for it. Sounds like a fun project.

no, you are not ****ed. you can get the salvage title and still be able to sell it or drive it, just salvaged will be on the title and the reasle value will be lower.
