changing the rod bearings to help reduce the change of crankwalk

I'm no DSM expert, but I read alot about them. I would say yes too if you can afford it. I know afew people around my city that run high 11's and low 12's with really not much cash into them.

Just remember DSM's do have some issues. But if you take car of it and DO ALL routine maintenance you should be ok.

From what I've read 1g's can crankwalk and dont even know it. "1g's use the cam angle sensor to sense cam angle, and cank angle. No crank angle sensor to die and let you know it has walked. So some 1gs may get it and never notice. The motor may die of natural cuases before it is properly diagnosed." So I would def check into that.

Here is a great dsm site. http://www.racingknowledge.com

"The biggest indicator that you might have this problem is a clutch pedal that stays stuck to the floor, especially after making left hand turns. (The crank slides over and the flywheel slides away from the clutch, so the clutch won't engage...). If the play in the crank becomes bad enough, it breaks the crank angle sensor off the end of the crank, and the motor shuts down completely."

You'll know if you have it.
